Thu, 10 May, 2018

In February 2018, ITC-AICE has disseminated Smartrec activities in two key events for the European and international ceramic industry,  which are CEVISAMA fair in Valencia (http://cevisama.feriavalencia.com/en/cevisama-2018/) and QUALICER congress in Castellón (http://www.qualicer.org/en/).This year, CEVISAMA hosted the 5th edition of “Ceramic Innova”, with a booth of 200 m2 opened to any of the 90.000 visitors to the fair.

This International networking event is co-organised by ITC-AICE on a bi-annual basis and is addressed to industry representatives working in the field of ceramic, construction and architecture.

In 2018, “Ceramic Innova” was a clear success with the active participation of 87 persons representing 58 entities from several countries such as Italy, USA, Russia and Spain. “Ceramic Innova” included a specific workshop called “From Research to Industry & From Industry to Market”, in which Dr. Salvador Ferrer from ITC-AICE has given a specific presentation of Smartrec solution demonstrating its potential for an effective heat recovery in the ceramic tile process. In addition, the event includes an exhibition of project activities and results in which Smartrec roll-up and brochure were displayed.

In the week following CEVISAMA, Castellón hosted QUALICER, the bi-annual international forum for ceramic tile. ITC-AICE has a specific booth situated at the entrance of the main conference room. Both Smartrec banner and leaflets were exhibited allowing all participants (mainly R&D personal from industry and researchers from academic entities) to have an insight of the project objectives.
